Q: Do You Sell Used Computers & Parts?
A: We currently do not sell used items, because we cannot warranty them. We want to be able to service and stand behind the products we sell. Selling used items doesn't allow us to do that.

A: We currently only buy new items from licensed wholesale vendors.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment to get my computer repaired?
A: No, you can bring your computer to us for repair whenever you'd like to during our normal business hours. ALL systems are repaired on a "first in, first out" basis.

Q: How long does it take to repair my system?
A: Repair times are varied depending on the issue being addressed. Every system that is checked in goes thru an extensive diagnostic process which can take up to 24 hours to complete.

Q: I have a burned copy of a program my friend gave me, can you install it for me?
A: Because of software piracy, We cannot install programs that are burned copies. Installing software from burned copies violates license agreements and is also illegal?

Q: I have AVG/ McAfee free versions installed, how did i get a virus on my computer
A: Free versions of antivirus software don't provide enough protection to prevent infections and attacks. Internet Security programs offer a higher level of protection, but it is best to research each one prior to installing. The best and highest rated on the market currently is Norton Internet Security 2011. This is the program we highly recommend.

Q: Can you remove viruses on-site?
A: Since the process of scanning for and removing viruses can take several hours, we ask that you bring your computer into the store for us to resolve your virus infections on your system.

Q: Why does your competitor sell Windows 7 for less than you?
A: Alot of local shops opt to sell Windows OEM software outright against the terms of the Microsoft license agreement. By law, in order to purchase OEM software, it MUST be sold with either a new computer or an accompanying qualified part. At New Vision Computers, we conform to all agreemeents to maintain honesty and integrity in the computer industry.
